The main idea of my projects comes directly from the woods. I try to create an intimate space within my wrapped elements that my sculptures consists of. I seek to recapture the intensity of experiencing the landscape among the trees. The palette, texture, form and materials represent nature. Through the process I explore concepts that are to do with the inner space in contradiction with external space, Heart versus Skin. I see the wrapped core as the hidden that is seeking to be revealed. The wrapping, the outside is the superficial it is what we see without a deeper observation, what we look at but don't see. My work is not self-explanatory and that pleases me because it makes people think about it. What is important to me is that my work should have an emotional component, that its qualities should engage the viewer. I want people to interpret it in their own free, imaginative way. I want them to get involved in the work and not to be afraid to touch it; I hope it could be a source of inspiration and meaning for them.
