Host Open Studio Trail

HOST Weekend - Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th September - 11am - 5pm

Local artists in and around Huddersfield and Kirklees will be opening the doors of their studios and showcasing their work at different venues during the 2012 HOST Artists Open Studio Trail.

Studios are often personal and private spaces, each one unique and individual, directly reflecting the character and persona of the artist.

They are places of contemplation, design, inspiration, isolation, collaboration, creation, construction, spontaneity, frustration, de-construction, relief, exhilaration and relaxation.

Some will be chaotic, others havens of calm. Some spaces are heaving with a mixture of creative folk all working side by side, while other sites offer undiscovered pockets of individual innovation and expression.

I didn't know all these artists and workshop / studios existed until this event.

During HOST artists from around the region offer you a snippet of their world. The trail invites you to experience the variety of work in a range of different atmospheres. Enjoy.
